Many of you must have caught the beautiful sunset yesterday, a sight that has replayed itself across the island over the last few days. It was a happy coincidence as The Workers' Party MPs restarted their housevisits over the course of this week after the Heightened Alert of the last two months.
I met a number of seniors at Blk 608 during housevisits last night who count themselves amongst the 75% of seniors nationwide who are already vaccinated, including a youthful looking 94-year old lady. Some of those who have not been vaccinated commonly have other medical conditions which does cause them to think twice about going for vaccination. I advised them to go to the polyclinic or their GPs to get a professional medical opinion for peace of mind regarding their suitability for vaccination.
I was lucky to meet Agnes who also has family in the Serangoon ward of Aljunied GRC. She shared that they fondly remembered Sylvia Lim’s visit to their house at Flower Road previously. Thank you for the drink and conversation and good luck today!
Over the last few weeks, some Aljunied-Hougang Town Council residents may have noticed a sticker in your lifts with a QR code to share feedback on estate-related matters. COVID has been disrupted some of our usual channels of communication with residents and the AHTC PR team thought this could help mitigate the problem. We will continue to check the feedback received through this facility regularly so please feel free to continue to use it. It is proving very helpful for the estate team thus far!
